Today, we honor the historic triumph at the Battle of Adwa – a powerful symbol of African unity, dignity, and resistance against colonialism. Adwa showed the world that when a people stand united, no force can defeat them.

As the new generation, our battlefield is different. Our victory is building food sovereignty strengthening sustainable food systems, promoting agroecology, empowering youth, women and farmers, and protecting our land and biodiversity for future generations.

Adwa was a victory of sovereignty and pride. Today, we strive for the victory of sustainable and self-reliant food systems.
