Get ready to embark on a delicious journey celebrating the richness of Ethiopian and African food! From February 9–15, 2026, the Ethiopian Sustainable Food Systems and Agroecology Consortium (ESFSAC) invites you to join our “My Food is African/Ethiopian” online campaign.
This one-week celebration aims to reclaim and showcase our indigenous culinary heritage by highlighting dishes rooted in tradition, nutrition, and sustainable food practices. Through this campaign, we hope to:
- Inspire pride in African/Ethiopian food culture
- Promote healthy, locally sourced diets
- Encourage community engagement and collective action toward sustainable food systems
What to Expect:
Each day, we’ll feature a traditional dish, share its ingredients, nutritional benefits, and cultural significance. From hearty stews to comforting breads, discover the foods that have nourished generations and continue to shape our identity.
